UNAIR Ranks #15 in the World & #1 in Indonesia at THE Impact Rankings 2026!

Surabaya — Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has once again made its mark on the global stage. In the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026, UNAIR secured the #15 position in the World out of a total of 1,607 participating universities worldwide — while also retaining its title as the #1 University in Indonesia overall.
This outstanding achievement reaffirms UNAIR’s commitment to making a real contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a global sustainable development agenda that serves as the primary benchmark in the THE Impact Rankings.
The THE Impact Rankings is the only global university ranking that specifically measures the contribution of higher education institutions to the achievement of all 17 SDGs. Breaking into the top 15 in the world among more than 1,600 universities from across the globe is a highly prestigious achievement, proving that UNAIR is not merely the best university in Indonesia, but also one of the most prominent at the global level.
At the national level, UNAIR claimed the top spot as the best university in Indonesia overall. Moreover, UNAIR also achieved the National #1 Ranking in the following four SDG pillars:
