Graduate Profile

Based on the agreement outlined by FORSTAT and looking at the vision and mission of the Universitas Airlangga Bachelor of Statistics study program, the graduate profile set by the Statistics study program is to produce graduates who have roles and characteristics as 1) academics, 2) consultants, 3) entrepreneurs, and 4) researchers. 

  1. Academics
    This means graduates can continue their studies to a higher level of education and become professional educators in the long term (lifelong education) or can become professional educators throughout their lives.
  2. Consultants
    This means graduates can become consultants and analysts who can use the basic concepts of statistics to design, analyze, and interpret data correctly and precisely based on the norms and professional ethics they have been taught.
  3. Entrepreneurs
    This means that graduates can use the basic concepts of statistics to create new entrepreneurial opportunities (start-ups) in several applied fields such as health, social, economics, and several other fields by using the basics of artificial intelligence through utilizing big data.
  4. Researchers
    This means that graduates can use their knowledge to conduct basic research and further research related to statistical modeling in the life sciences/health, social, and economics fields, because the results of the modeling can be used as simulations to create certain policies.
