STAR (Statistics Collaboration and Research) EQUITY 2026 - Day 3

LPS Company Visit and Surabaya City Tour

Day three of STAR EQUITY 2026 took participants beyond the campus to experience industry visits and urban sightseeing. Activities began with committee preparations from 7:00–7:30 a.m. at FST UNAIR Kampus C, followed by participant registration from 7:30–8:00 a.m.

From 8:00–8:30 a.m., the group departed by bus to the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) in Surabaya. The Company Visit to LPS ran from 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Upon arrival, participants completed attendance registration, followed by a Room Tour of LPS Regional Representative Office (KPW) II, which included a warm welcome and office tour with LPS officials. The event was formally opened by the MC, followed by welcoming remarks from UNAIR and UKM campus representatives and the Head of LPS KPW II. Participants then received two content sessions: the first from KPW LPS II and the second from LPS Central Group, each accompanied by a Q&A. The LPS visit concluded with a prize-based Kahoot session as an ice-breaker, prize distribution to winners, a closing ceremony, and the presentation of a commemorative plaque.

After ISHOMA—including prayers at TP 6—the group continued to the city centre. The City Tour ran from 1:00–4:00 p.m. using the SSCT Bus, guided by a representative from the Surabaya City Tourism and Culture Agency (Disbudpar). The convoy departed from in front of Balai Pemuda, then headed to the Kota Lama (Old City) district of Surabaya to visit De Javasche Bank, followed by a walking tour tracing the historical landmarks of Kota Lama. The group then visited Surabaya Museum at Gedung Siola to hear the tour guide’s account of the city’s history, before returning to Surabaya City Square (Alun-Alun) for a group documentation session as a lasting memento.

After the Asr prayer break from 4:00–4:30 p.m., the convoy continued by bus to the micro-industry visit site. From 5:00–5:30 p.m., participants took part in a Micro Industrial Visit—a free-exploration visit to engage with local micro-entrepreneurs and purchase Surabaya souvenirs. Day three concluded from 5:30–5:40 p.m. with a closing prayer and group documentation.
