Exploring the City of Heroes

Day four of NCCU Taiwan Insight 2026 was the most colorful day yet! Participants from Taiwan had the opportunity to explore Surabaya — from historical landmarks and cultural institutions to an Indonesian souvenir center.

The adventure began with a trip to Siola, a historic building that now serves as the heart of Surabaya’s city center. Participants then visited the Surabaya Museum and enjoyed a walking tour around the city square — soaking in the history and culture of the City of Heroes firsthand.

The journey continued to TETO (Taipei Economic and Trade Office) — a special moment where the Taiwanese participants got to visit their country’s representative office in Indonesia. A variety of activities took place there until 14.00.

Before heading back to the hotel, participants stopped by Mirota Batik to pick up Indonesian souvenirs and handicrafts. A delightful close to an unforgettable day!
