Banyuwangi, 28 June 2024 – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) succeeded in attracting the interest of Banyuwangi 1 Public High School students by holding promotional and socialization events for the Bachelor of Statistics Study Program. This activity, which was held on Friday, June 28 2024, aims to provide students with a deeper understanding of this study program which has bright prospects. The event began with remarks from the Coordinator of the Statistics Study Program, Mr. Sediono, who explained in outline the various advantages offered by this study program. Next, the material delivery session entitled “Roadshown Introduction and Prospects of the UNAIR Undergraduate Statistics Study Program” was delivered by two experienced lecturers, Mrs Dita and Mr Idrus. These two lecturers succeeded in attracting the students’ attention with their interesting and informative presentations. The event takes place from 8.30-11.00. During the presentation, Mrs. Dita and Mr. Idrus not only discussed the vision and mission of the statistics study program, but also various interesting programs that support the development of students’ soft and hard skills. With an interactive approach, students are invited to understand the importance of skills in the field of statistics in this digital era. This event was also marked by the signing of a collaboration between SMA Negeri 1 Banyuwangi and the UNAIR Statistics Study Program, which is expected to strengthen relations between institutions and open greater opportunities for high school students to continue their education at UNAIR. This activity ended with a joint prayer, marking the success of the event and it is hoped that it will inspire students to become part of the Airlangga Knights, especially in the field of statistics, for the sake of Indonesia’s progress.
