Once again, the Statistics Program of Universitas Airlangga brings joyful news. Students of the Statistics Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga, have achieved remarkable success at the Village Empowerment and Development Program Innovation Competition held by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta on December 26, 2023. The Statistics Program sent four teams that made it to the finals of this LIP3D competition. Each of the four teams managed to secure 1st place in the Tourism category, 1st place in the Education and Cultural Arts category, 3rd place in the Culinary, Industry, and Creative Economy category, and 3rd honorable mention in the Education and Cultural Arts competition category.

The Village Empowerment and Development Program Innovation Competition (LIP3D) is one of the competitions aimed at encouraging the thinking/ideas of outstanding, creative, innovative, and sustainable Indonesian students in alleviating poverty in their respective regions. The implementation of village development programs is a social change effort aimed at improving all aspects of community life towards a better direction, with the main goal of creating community welfare. In this competition, there are several categories including Disability Empowerment, Women’s Empowerment, Industry and Creative Economy, Disaster Mitigation, Environmentally Friendly Technology, Cultivation, Food Security, Natural Resource Conservation, Public Health, Education, Cultural Arts, Tourism, Regional Culinary, Family Medicinal Plant Conservation, and Poverty Alleviation.

For the achievements attained, students are encouraged to continue learning, evaluating, utilizing and making the best use of their time to hone their potential and also implement what they have learned during their studies to continue improving the achievements for the Statistics Program, both nationally and internationally.
