Statistics Study Program of Universitas Airlangga received good news again. Students of Statistics Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology Universitas Airlangga made a proud achievement in the XII Statistics Jamboree organized by the Statistics Student Association of Mulawarman University. The peak of the XII Statistics Jamboree event was held on March 17-18, 2023 at Mulawarman University, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. In this competition, the Statistics Study Program sent two teams who qualified to become finalists in the infographic competition. They managed to get the first and second place achievements in the infographic competition. In addition, they also won the Best Speaker and Favorite Champion categories.

Jamboree Statistika XII is one of the largest annual competitions in Statistics at the national level organized by the Statistics Student Association of Mulawarman University. After the last two years being held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2023 the 12th Statistics Jamboree was again held offline with the theme SAVANA (Statistic For Advancing Indonesia): “Together With the Young Generation to Build Indonesia 2045”. There are several competitions at the XII Statistics Jamboree which are divided for the student level throughout Indonesia and the high school / vocational / MA equivalent level in East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan, including Infographics, Scientific Writing, and Statistical Analysis Week for the student level, as well as Statistics Olympics and Scientific Writing for the high school / vocational / MA equivalent level.

The two teams that succeeded in becoming finalists for the Infographic Competition were a team consisting of Adnan Syawal Adilaha Sadikin and Marcelena Vicky Galena, Statistics students of Universitas Airlangga class of 2021 with an infographic entitled “Towards Indonesia EM45: Farmers are willing to be self-sufficient for the sake of the country”. This team won 1st place, Favorite Champion, and Adnan Syawal as Best Speaker. Another team is a team consisting of Aqil Azmi Reswara and Aprilia Prastyaningrum, Statistics students of Universitas Airlangga class of 2021 with an infographic entitled “Road to Indonesia Emas 2045: Classification of Poverty Levels by Province in Indonesia”. This team won 2nd place.

For the achievements that have been made, students are expected to continue to learn, evaluate, use and make the best use of time to hone their potential and also implement what they have learned during college to continue to improve achievements for Statistics Study Program both nationally and internationally.
