A group of undergraduate students from the Statistics Bachelor’s Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) is once again using their knowledge to assist the community in Wonorejo Village, Mejayan, Madiun Regency. This time, they are collaborating with local residents in the village development efforts. The focus of this activity is to enhance understanding of digital marketing for a group of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and tourists visiting Wonorejo Village and its surroundings. The program aims to provide the community with knowledge and skills in business to be applied in their respective ventures.
Fariz Fadillah Mardianto, as the Coordinator of the Statistics Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Airlangga University, explains that the socialization of digital marketing is important for promoting the village. Wonorejo Village itself has historical sites such as temples, as well as tourism potential and SME products that can attract tourists. Mr. Fariz believes that the village has promising economic potential, and through this village development program, he hopes that the community can actively promote products and tourism using digital marketing concepts.
Altryan Selvian Aditya, as the Head of Wonorejo Village, expresses his gratitude for the benefits obtained by residents from this program. He stated, “This is an extremely beneficial event for the villagers. I hope Wonorejo Village will be better known for its potential.” Representatives from the Mejayawan Sub-district and SMEs also actively participated in the activities. Mr. Fariz concluded by saying, “For tourism stakeholders, we invite the head of tourism village Girikerto Sine Ngawi, and for SMEs, we invite the owner of Makaronimu, Yogi Kukuh Prasetyo. Both speakers have extraordinary experience in the field of digital marketing.”
