    Malaysia, 21st June 2025 \u2013 The Department of Statistics, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) is proud to announce the participation and outstanding achievements of students in the “2nd Multidisciplinary Regional Conference in Science and Technology” (MRCST 2025), organized by the Student Council of the Faculty of Science and Technology (PMFST) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia on June 21, 2025.<\/p>\n

    This conference is a pioneering academic symposium dedicated to fostering scientific discourse, interdisciplinary collaboration, and transformative innovation. With the theme “Science and Technology as an Innovative Powerhouse Towards the Future,” MRCST 2025 highlighted the critical role of science and technology in addressing contemporary challenges and driving sustainable progress. The event was attended by participants from various countries, including academics and practitioners from various top universities.<\/p>\n

    The UNAIR delegation actively participated in various sessions, including the Keynote Speech, Insight Talk (iFUTURE@UKM), Poster Presentation, Innovation Exhibition, Booth Exhibition, and Oral Presentation. The event was opened by Prof. Ts. Dr. Norinsan Kamil bin Othman, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Students and Alumni Affairs (Acting), and the Awarding activity was handed over directly by Prof. Dr. Jamia Azdina Jamal, (Acting) Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t

    UNAIR Statistics Study Program won the Best Poster Presentation award in the Physics and Mathematics category with presenter Rivaldi Sihite (188221030). Furthermore, the Statistics Study Program also won the Best Poster Presentation award in the Geoscience and Earthscience category with presenter Aji Febriandi (188231104).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    One particularly proud moment was the Poster Presentation assessment, where the jury praised the ideas and presentations of the Statistics Study Program Student Team. One judge even stated that the ideas presented were novel and could be applied to solving global problems. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically point 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and point 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goals).<\/p>\n

    Participation in this activity has provided significant benefits for the students, including increased confidence in their international research capabilities, networking with international academics, and enhancing international achievements.<\/p>\n
